First Community Mass at Macarthur Memorial Park

The first All Saints/All Souls Mass was held at Macarthur Memorial Park on the 1 November 2020 and celebrated by Father Diosdado Haber and Father Ita Kolomatangi for our Filipino and Tongan communities. We are honoured that this special mass provided time for the community time to reflect and remember all those we have loved. The service was held with strict adherence to social distancing guidelines. All Souls’ Day, also known as the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, is a day of prayer and remembrance for the souls of those who have died.
This mass marks the start of community events at Macarthur Memorial Park, Sydney’s newest memorial space that will reimagine public open space which will contribute significantly to the community for generations to come. A calendar of events will be curated that are relevant, meaningful and offer support to the families and groups we serve.  All will be invited to come together as a community for events such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, All Souls’ Day and the Christmas Remembrance Service.
