Macarthur Memorial Park is the first new Crown cemetery to be built in Sydney in over 80 years and will ease the burden of much-needed burial space. Beauty and nature are the focal point of Macarthur Memorial Park. The park is designed to harness and protect the natural environment, providing a serene, calm atmosphere for burials. It will be a new and unique memorial and parkland destination with over 113 hectares of open landscape, including manicured gardens, walking trails and water features. Aiming for the most gentle touch on nature and on life, the park will be designed as a lawn cemetery with places for natural burials, cremated remains and monumental lawns. No headstones will be visible from the main roads.

Macarthur Memorial Park will be a multi-denominational site that welcomes people of all beliefs and cultural backgrounds. With the local community close at heart, the park will have dedicated community lawns where families can grieve together. It will also contribute to protecting Sydney's rich heritage by restoring historic buildings on the property for public viewing.
